The first 24-25 days of the incubation of eggs occurs in the Setter Room. The turkey embryo requires sufficient fresh air, proper temperature and humidity levels to ensure successful incubation.
A variety of options are available for hatchery equipment, which makes is difficult to recommend a standard format for hatching fertile eggs. Consultation with manufacturer’s recommendations is suggested in conjunction with consideration of a few other important factors;
- Variations between strains
- Age of the breeder flock in lay
